Praxis is a research institute that specializes in spinal cord injury, innovation and care. The organization is based in Vancouver, with a current headcount size of 50.
After a series of interviews with their top executives, they all concluded that some physical presence has to be maintained by all staff at Praxis. Therefore, they adopted the hybrid work model, with bookable workstations and more collaborative meeting spaces.
We carried out a thorough staff assessment to identify each worker’s persona based on factors like their role, preferred work style, commute time, and job demands. The survey had a 90% response rate, cutting across all departments at Praxis.
After the Pivvot staff assessment process, over 80% of employees were predicted to work out of the office in a hybrid fashion. The rest are predicted to either be fully remote or fully in-office. About 85% of employees will likely be agile – working out of bookable spaces as needed, while the rest will prefer to have their own desk. Their staff also expressed that in designing a new workplace arrangement, they value workplace flexibility and wellness the most.
By engaging with the Pivvot process, Praxis liberated areas of their office space. By doing so, they will be allocating the extra space for better office use. Employees will also be saving on commute time, thereby increasing their productivity while reducing the environmental impact.
We facilitate leadership alignment that allows for ongoing
scenario planning and evolved organizational thinking.
